I owned and operated design studios and advertising agencies for twenty or so years in New Orleans and Atlanta. Then, I started teaching. Portfolio Center, at first. Now, I have been a professor and department chair at The Art Institute of Atlanta for over ten years. During that time, I earned my Ph.D. in Educational Policy: Social Foundations from Georgia State University. You can read my CV and my Teaching Philosophy, if you wish. During my career I have been building expertise in conceptual thinking and ideation techniques. I have led ideation sessions in consumer products, retailing, hospitality and tourism, corporate communications, and higher education, as well as working directly with hundreds of college students.
